Vanetta LaRosa, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA, LP

Dr. Vanetta LaRosa is a neuropsychologist and educational psychologist with over 20 years of clinical, academic, and applied experience in autism spectrum disorder, executive functioning, neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment, and applied behavior analysis.
She has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst since 2003 and later earned her BCBA-D. She currently serves as Chair of the Department of Behavioral Health Professions at Long Island University (LIU Post) and Director of the ABA Graduate Program, where she oversees training at the master’s and doctoral levels.
Dr. LaRosa earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in human learning from Southern Illinois University, where she completed advanced clinical fellowship training in psychoeducational assessments and received rigorous preparation in applied behavior analysis from top scholars. She later completed postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology under Dr. Elkhonon Goldberg, PhD, ABPP.
She is the founder of Helping Hands Behavioral Outreach and Helping Hands Children Services (est. 2004) and co-owner of Goldberg & LaRosa Psychology Associates, PLLC, a specialized neuropsychology practice.
Dr. LaRosa is recognized for her unique expertise in integrating neuropsychology and applied behavior analysis, translating brain-based systems of executive functioning and reinforcement learning into precise, clinically meaningful interventions.
